Story: We had access during holiday shutdown to solve a roof rat problem at a USDA inspected meat plant. Rats were active in the smoker room where the individual units were located. It was a hot, wet, food rich environment for the rodents. Using plastic over bar style rat traps and Pro Pest Rodent attractant the problem was addressed. Over 4 days of setting and resetting the baited traps the rat population was whittled down. As the work progressed the presence of attractant in the devices showed how the process was going. Traps with catches and no Pro Pest indicated more rats in the area. Once we attained catches with Pro Pest remaining we knew it was a successful event. In the time we had for the process over two dozen roof rats were removed from the site.
