Varied Carpet Beetle

Scientific Name: Anthrenus verbasci

The Varied Carpet Beetle, Anthrenus verbasci, is a household pest and damages carpets, furniture and clothing. It lays eggs underneath carpets and in cupboards. The life cycle of the beetle varies from 2 months to 2 years during which time they lay hundreds of eggs causing rapid infestation.
