Scientific Name: Oryzaephilus surinamensis
The Saw-Toothed Grain Beetle larvae feeds on and infests broken kernels from food such as rice, cereals, seeds, nuts and spices and can get into small cracks and crevices with its flat body. The body is about 3mm in length and it has saw-tooth projections on each side. Adult beetles usually live between 6-10 months and larvae take on average just 4 days to hatch.
