Khapra Beetle

Scientific Name: Trogoderma granarium
The Khapra Beetle, Trogoderma granarium, is extremely destructive in stored grains and seeds, damaging between 30% – 70% of product. The beetle can survive without food for long periods of time. The first sign of an infestation is the cast larval skins. Monitoring for this beetle for early detection is essential.
