Black Carpet Beetle
Scientific Name: Attagenus unicolor
The Black Carpet Beetle is 2-5 mm in length and black in color as the name implies. Their larvae is known to feed on animal products such as wool, silk, dried meat and leather. As the larvae grow, they malt and cast skins that can be found within these products. When disturbed, the adult beetle will roll up and tuck its’ head.
